Food and Agriculture Committee

Business at OECD’s Food and Agriculture Committee contributes to the OECD’s work on sustainable agriculture, trade and agriculture, global agri-food system transformation, and agricultural innovation. Business at OECD’s Food and Agriculture Committee also works with Business at OECD’s Environment and Energy Committee on sustainable farming practices. Through Business at OECD’s Peace for Food and Field of the Future Campaigns, Business at OECD provides pro-active input to the OECD’s discussions, highlighting the role of the private sector as a partner and solutions provider in driving sustainable productivity growth and innovation on the field.

Why the OECD’s Work on Food and Agriculture Matters

The OECD is a global leader of statistics, forecasts, and evidence–based policy recommendations in creating sustainable, productive and resilient food systems. Its annual publications, including Monitoring and Evaluating Agricultural Policies and the OECD–FAO Agricultural Outlook, are closely followed by policymakers and industry. The OECD promotes innovation, efficiency and environmental stewardship in farming practices, addressing food security, climate change and rural development. The OECD contributes actively to the G20, including on the Agricultural Market Information System.
