Business at OECD (BIAC) welcomes the appointment of Manal Corwin as the new Director of OECD's Centre for Tax Policy and Administration (CTPA) who will take up her position from 3 April 2023. “We extend our congratulations to Manal and look forward to working with her on the many international tax issues addressed by OECD. As we consider today’s economic and social context, international tax policy is a critically important issue, and we look forward to further enhancing our engagement and co-operation with OECD together with Manal and her team in this field,” stated Alan Mclean, Chair of the Business at OECD Tax Committee.
Manal Corwin, a US national and well known in the international tax field, has served twice in the Office of Tax Policy in the US Department of the Treasury during two separate US Administrations. Currently, she serves as Partner-in-charge of the National Tax Office and Lead Director of the Board of Directors for KPMG in the United States. Prior to this position, she practiced as an attorney specializing in international taxation and served as a judicial clerk for then Chief Judge Levin Campbell on the US Court of Appeals (First Circuit).
The Business at OECD Tax Committee covers the full range of international tax issues addressed by the OECD, with a focus on ensuring that tax policy supports inclusive economic growth and cross board trade and investment. Our work across issues emphasizes practicality and administrability of tax policy and for effective implementation and greater tax certainty to the benefit of both tax payers and tax administrations alike.
