There is already a growing awareness within the financial sector of the need to promote and support improvements in financial literacy, and in this context, CaixaBank has established itself as an international leader. The report ‘The Business Case for Financial Literacy’, produced by Business at OECD (BIAC), has selected CaixaBank as a model of success for its comprehensive and cross-cutting approach, which ranges from training young people to supporting entrepreneurs. Among the initiatives highlighted by the OECD are programmes such as ‘Finance for Young People’, aimed at secondary school pupils to encourage responsible decision-making from an early age; ‘Aula CaixaBank’, which offers training to shareholders; and ‘imaginAcademy’, which educates young people in finance through digital applications and school programmes.
