Business at OECD (BIAC) and IOE (International Organization of Employers) launch joint report addressing how education policies can contribute to and promote well-functioning labor markets and sustainable enterprises.

This report identifies the main trends and common barriers to successful education policies and outlines some good practices. It also provides a short overview of the current situation of education systems in selected countries (initially Argentina, India, Italy, and South Africa), based on interviews with country experts, to illustrate diverse contexts of education systems and policies.

We hope this report contributes to the elaboration of education policies and systems that improve students’ level and scope of skills that are urgently needed in the current and future labor markets and ultimately promote economic growth, job creation, and well-being. The joint project will deliver a second report with additional case studies in 2023.
