On 16-17 September, a Business at OECD delegation participated in the OECD–IEA Global Forum on the Environment and Climate Change at the IEA's headquarters. Led by USCIB’s Agnès Vinblad, our delegation underscored the private sector’s central role in delivering the Paris Agreement and the need for predictable, cost-effective policy frameworks that unlock investment and scale up mitigation. The Forum also provided an opportunity to for members to exchange with IEA experts on the global energy outlook, including with IEA Chief Energy Economist Tim Gould. This engagement comes as the OECD and Türkiye’s COP31 Presidency launch a new Strategic Partnership—the OECD’s first with a COP Presidency—to help translate climate commitments into practical policies that support growth, resilience and investment ahead of COP31 in November.
