OECD Global Anti-Corruption and Integrity Forum: Business Leads the Way on Integrity Culture and Communication

Business at OECD welcomed a large delegation to the 2026 OECD Global Anti-Corruption and Integrity Forum. For this occasion, Business at OECD held a Knowledge Partner event, "Business at the Forefront: How Companies are Advancing Integrity and Fighting Corruption in 2026".

The event featured opening remarks from Business at OECD and OECD Working Group on Bribery leadership, followed by panel discussions with compliance leaders from Business at OECD's global business network. These conversations explored how companies are strengthening integrity beyond formal compliance systems through organisational culture, effective communication, and proximity to operations. Key themes included the critical role of leadership in setting the "tone from the top," the need to quantitatively and qualitatively measure the behavioural impact of integrity initiatives, and the value of public-private partnerships in developing practical compliance standards.

The discussion also presented key takeaways from the Business at OECD policy paper, "Talk Integrity: How Corporate Communication Drives the Fight Against Corruption". This paper highlights how clear and consistent communication can reinforce compliance frameworks, support ethical decision-making, and build trust. It also shares company best practices to inspire corporate integrity communication strategies. The Head of the OECD's Anti-Corruption Division concluded the event, underlining that the sustainability of integrity frameworks depends on the people and systems who translate these values into practice.

Members of our business network, including USCIB, AtkinsRéalis, the Maritime Anti-Corruption Network, McDonald's, and Sanofi also contributed their perspectives to discussions with the OECD in the OECD Global Anti-Corruption and Integrity Forum’s main sessions. They provided insights on how compliance enables stabler markets and investment, how to strengthen partnerships for integrity, and how compliance shapes competitiveness.

Our Business at OECD Integrity and Anti-Corruption Committee looks forward to continued collaboration with the OECD to ensure integrity frameworks remain effective, risk-based, and workable for businesses in today's complex global landscape.
