During the week of 22-26 June, our Business at OECD delegation led by our Competition Committee Chair and Baker Botts LLP’s John Taladay participated in the OECD Competition Committee and Working Parties. Our Competition Committee helped inform the OECD’s discussions on national security considerations in competition enforcement and the interaction of competition and consumer policy considerations in digital markets. Business at OECD also contributed practitioner views on case prioritisation and prosecutorial discretion, as well as current approaches and emerging best practices in the assessment of information exchanges among competitors under competition law. We ended the week contributing to an OECD roundtable on competition and corruption in public procurement, focusing on recommendations for effective inter-agency cooperation to both detect and prevent collusion and corruption in public procurement.
