Business at OECD joined the recent OECD–Global Coalition on Aging workshop on “Building Healthy, Productive Workforces for our 21st Century,” contributing key business insights on the role of employers in promoting healthy ageing and sustainable economic growth. Our Health Committee Vice-Chair and BDA's Susanne Wagenmann emphasised that successful approaches require cooperation between governments, companies, and workers’ representatives. She stressed that public frameworks should enable—not restrict—business-led initiatives, and that voluntary, flexible measures are often the most effective in improving workforce health and productivity. Our Heath Committee Vice-Chair and Sanofi's David Elvira Martinez also joined the discussions, highlighting the need for OECD data on the return on investment for prevention, and calling for stronger public-private collaboration to promote health-focused workplace policies.
