On 23 October, our Governance and Regulatory Policy Committee Chair Yılmaz Argüden joined a panel on “Justice for Competitiveness: Reducing Friction for Businesses, SMEs and Government” at the OECD Global Roundtable on Equal Access to Justice in Istanbul, Türkiye. He underlined several key messages, including that SMEs experience legal and administrative burdens differently, and that digitalisation must be embraced. He also emphasised that if we want more competitive and innovative economies, we must ensure that justice systems work for SMEs, not just for those with extensive resources.
