In preparation for COP30 in Belém, the OECD and IEA convened their Global Forum on the Environment and Climate Change. Bringing together climate negotiators and experts to discuss the New Collective Quantified Goal on climate finance as well as the Global Goal on Adaptation, Business at OECD actively contributed with a delegation led by USCIB’s Agnes Vinblad. During the discussions, we emphasised that near-term action should focus on reducing risk and improving transparency, while long-term efforts must build deeper markets and ensure predictability to attract sustained investment. Looking ahead, we will continue to advocate for practical frameworks that ensure business can play a clear and constructive role in advancing adaptation and resilience at COP30 and beyond.
